Throughout the year 2523 Linton Squadron takes part in a number of events in addition to the core training activities of the ATC. Here are some of the other things we do.
Squadron Dining In Night
We all look froward to our annual dinner. It gives us the chance to dress up and experience a formal dinner with RAF traditions and standard including Mr Vice and forfeits.
We help out with car parking at the world famous Imperial War Museum Duxford Airshows. This is one of our main fundraising events and we are very happy that the Imperial War Museum has continued to invite us to help out and gives us access to view the airshow as well!
We support local events in our area including Linton fireworks, Linton Fun Run, fetes and local history days.
Every year we take part in two Remembrance Parades. In the morning we attend a service of Remembrance in Castle Camps village and lay wreath at our adopted War Memorial at Castle Camps Airfield. After lunch we take part in a Remembrance Parade in Linton village.
Every year we have a Christmas Party at the Squadron. It’s a chance to have fun and celebrate the end of the year.
In January we hold a Presentation Evening with friends, family and invited guests. It’s a chance to review the past year and celebrate the previous year’s achievements. Awards are given out for achievements and there are sometimes promotions.
