Sport is a major part of life in the RAF and this is continued in the ATC with activities at all levels and abilities. Cadets have the opportunity to take part in sport on squadron evenings and there are inter squadron competitions at wing level. The more competitive cadets can then represent Beds & Cambs Wing at region level, achieving a regional blue. The next step on is representing Central and East Region at corps level, gaining a Regional Blue. The ultimate level is representing the Air Training Corps at inter service completions and being presented with a Corps Blue.
With the ATC the sports played to corps level are Athletics, Cross Country, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Swimming.
Other sports are organised at squadron level and all sports can be recognized as a qualifying criteria for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
